The Vision of the Southwest District Foundation is,
"To build ethical, productive
leadership in young people and to help provide quality
professional development and support in a fast changing
world." The
Foundation works diligently to achieve this goal,
through a variety of programs.
A significant activity of the Foundation is the support and enhancement of Kamp
Kiwanis, located about 20 miles south of Gallup, NM, in
the Zuni Mountains. This 160 acre facility is dedicated
to the service of KIDS. Over the course of a year,
literally thousands of young people, from throughout the
Southwest District, participate in camps and other youth
enrichment programs. You’ll find a substantial portion of
this WebSite dedicated to the Kamp and its activities.
But, the Foundation’s
involvement in Kamp Kiwanis is only a part of its
overall mission to support youth in the Southwest
District. Within these pages, you will also find
information regarding the other ways the Foundation
fulfills its promise to young people.
